The City of Strays
The copper colored city stands alone
 People living separate lives
 In this big beautiful city
 Will never know each other
 Or the wonder they hold
And yet the city lives on

 Standing tall along the bay
 This city
 Like a coral rock formation
  Emerging from the waters’ below
Fosters a civilization where civility is standard
 And nothing more, intimacy lost.

The streets are a masquerade, mirage of people
 Weaving through the cold infrastructure
They go about their activity with nothing gained and nothing lost
They choose to live a life of simplistic obscurity
