A Wonderful Day

The sun shines
Bright, sweet light
And I must say
What a sight
The warmth of it
Warms my skin
Like brilliant light
Is a sin
But I hide in the dark
So I won’t burn
So I will live
And learn
That this beauty
Is a threat
Deadly and painful
But I am set
To give up
And come out
My life is lonely
Just about
Coldness filled my bones
But I want warmth
Not chills down my spine
But warmth
So I jump
Down the I fly
During this wonderful day.
