what doesn't kill you makes you strong

I stand on the outside looking in
I see me and my stupid little grin
I can feel the people around me
Warm, comforting, inviting
While I’m on the outside screaming
Please let me in
They take me and tell me lies
And I don’t know what to feel inside
So I just smile and laugh without a clue
I try shouting what to do
Get away please escape
But too late I’ve been sucked in
I gave everybody everything
Including within
I stand on the outside and try to reach myself
But I don’t listen
I hear only lies and feel dead
Inside
Now I’m completely gone
I’m standing there all alone
Just me myself and I
And my heart that has died
I stand there wondering
I stand on the outside looking in

this poem was inspired by everyday school life. in school some people are your friend one day and your enemy the next. its kind of confusing and heart breaking when you put your heart into it.
