If you hold that demon’s hand and walk with it
the scarred rough skin and black jagged claws will disappear.
If you kiss that demon with passion
its fangs and gnarled teeth will seep back into its jaws.
And when that demon is attacked by the rabid little monsters that constantly follow it,
if you stand by its side and fight them off,
maybe it will open up its crooked broken heart.
Then you just might have the chance to understand why the demon has those gentle blue eyes.
Once you enter the demon’s heart,
you’ll learn how to love it.

So whether you choose to stand by my side or abandon me,
the demon that I am will stand in silence.
You just have to make a decision and follow its path.
I ask and I cry,
but I refuse to beg or plea.
The strength that has allowed me to become this demon
prevents me from weakening or falling to my knees.
Tears may fall from my reddened eyes,
but they will never be shed out of desperation.
So go ahead,
make your choice.
Stand by my side, defend me and save me,
or run away, talk s*** and suffer.
