Like Vomit

April 22, 2010
By Anonymous

Every time I eat I feel as
though I am suffocating.
The fat is surrounding me
until I can’t breathe.
My mother is asking
me what’s wrong.
I can’t tell her
what’s been going on.
How there’s nothing
she can do.
I hide behind the food
Growing bigger and bigger.
No one can tell that it’s
because of the pain inside.
The secret is pulsing
in me trying to get free.
I cram food into my mouth
just to push the secret back.
Every day it comes back
up from my stomach
like vomit.
