Why now?
Why does the sun shine now?
He taunts me
With his joy.
Deep, brooding clouds are
What fill my mood.
Already, they are in my soul.
Why not the sky?
The calender tells me it's springtime.
But my heart?
A blizzard.
"Always winter, but never Christmas."
Thoughts of the last Christmas
Hurt me now.
Give to me bitter cold.
No warmth; no light.
Just cold darkness.
