What's There
Have you ever seen her? In that cold, broken window over there?
Her name is Brittany and her hair is golden.
Her voice is angelic and her heart is pure.
She frosts the sill with her yearning breath
 Unable to escape her destiny
 Her “outcome” so to speak
 She cannot escape
Her hands can no longer twist a door knob
Her hollowed sockets contain speckles of the dark blue ocean
What is truly behind that glass is a mystery
Yet nonetheless existent in timeless ticks
 On my watch.
