Back to School
Chopping up each number each word every time
There’s no rhythm she makes no rhyme
Just blah blah, no one knows
 It’s just empty walls
Filled with pallid faces meandering down clogged halls
There’s a need to break free
A fever rampaging through each molecule
 Of each fiber
  Of each cell
 Of each of us
Tardiness is not acceptable but there’s a necessity
Bodies lie motionless covering the common grounds deity
 Cross-hatching of tanned peeling faces
A recovery from inner battles unbeknownst to us all
Teachers blanch at cheerful shouts escaping the mouths of
 Overzealous
Over active over hyper excited jubilant energetic children
Escapees of a gray wintry prison
Breaking free to be wrapped again in a stuffy quilt
Words poured on slathered on empty nothingness
Constrictions and conformities make up out day
 Ganging up blazing a way
Through webs of bull we’ll never use
 To find the useful
Small as pebbles out minds reach out
Sending signals saying SOM (Save our Minds)
 Save us
A crumbling fortification of our brain’s blood wall
Bursts capillaries cascading on a down fall
Our eyes roll back and toes tap
Clicking and clacking on theses cold hard linoleum floors
Wanting for an earthquake to shake out hollowed halls
Doors flung open in exulted escape
The molding of our minds forming taken into our own hands
 To make our own choices
 To make our own decisions
 To make our own opinions
 To make our own way
Let us be our pioneers of the unknown frontier
 Don’t hold our hands
 Don’t be our compass
 Don’t hide our faces
Lend us supports to be taken away, no permanent structures
Burying immersion and us do not help pave the wave it’s unnecessary
It’s our choice if we reach out with our voice of our acts or our minds or our…
 Let us SPEAK

Have you ever confused a dream with life? Or stolen something when you have the cash? Have you ever been blue? Or thought your train moving while sitting still? Maybe I was just crazy. Maybe it was the 60's. Or maybe I was just a girl... interrupted
