Drowning Under Ice
Cynical and silent
 Your mouth pressed on mine
 Embrace under the dying sun
 Bleeding a fragrance
 Of simplistic beauty

 Vibrant colors stream above us
Reflecting red off your brilliant blue eyes
Pull back for a deep breath
 And an instant change

 Confusion wraps around your head
Your eyes spilling the sickly dread
Of screams that echo from your mouth to mine
Tears streaming from both our eyes

Trapped under ice, you freeze still screaming
I reach out my hand only to barely brush yours
And steadily you drawn on this lost winter’s nightmare
To leave me standing all alone
