It should be in my notebook…
Maybe the other one…
I must have slipped it into my book…
It fell into my bag,
my locker, my last period classroom…
I left it at home…
Or did I even do it?
I could copy…
I could skip class…
I could-
“Mister Baker?”
…
“My dog ate it.”
I could have thought up a better excuse.
