My Dog Jake
My dog Jake is a yellow lab,
His fur has two small white dabs.
His soft brown ears and wrinkles of skin,
Cover his neck all the way to his chin!
He eats anything you put under his nose,
Even out of the trash, it’s bad, he knows.
He loves chicken, burgers, and pizza crust.
But boxes of tissues are an absolute must!
My dog Jake does lots of fun things,
He even barks when the doorbell rings.
He chews on his bone, and plays fetch with his ball.
I chase him around; he comes when I call.
He is a faithful friend,
A devoted companion to the end,
Jake’s like a loyal brother to me,
My best buddy, you can surely see!
