Still Stays The Same

She was my best friend
She was for a while
She made me laugh
And I made her smile
I cared for her
More then she did I
So when I told
She said good-bye
I called her and asked her to forgive
But she is stubborn
So she never did
Now my tears shed
As my sorrow grows
My best friend is gone
And now I am alone
I have no one to talk to
So there’s not much to say
I lost my best friend
But I’ll be okay
The pain will heal
As I will grow
I will move on
One day I know
But for right now
My pain remains
And my love for her
Still stays the same
