The soft cadences in your speech
The way the sunlight plays upon your skin
Why do I yearn
For the sound of your voice
The sight of your smile
The jagged rhythm you set my heart to
Why do I keep denying
My need for you
The reason for my changes
This void you leave inside me
Why do I try
When I know I could never be yours
To hope it will change
When you'll forever be my memories of another
