she gives no hints
to her secret
she keeps welled up inside.
Night by night
she fights the urge
so she doesn't give in
and ruin everything.
Song by song
she listens and hums
As she relives memories
she wishes to forget.
Gift by gift
she goes through
as she remembers
all the occasions
Note by Note
she rereads as
she remembers
all his hugs and smiles.
Prick by prick
she sees how much he changed her
as tears roll down her face
she remembers his sweet kiss.
