Deep-Sea Eyes
No rainbows can penatrate my window,
No sandy toes can walk through this door,
 No rosy, salty cheeks,
 No deep-sea eyes,
 No cozy, warm smile,
No uncombed, messy, beautiful, golden hair,
 Will ever appear before me.

 No seashell scraped elbows,
 No rock-crawling knees,
 No sun-toasted skin.
 No soaking towel, dragging behind,
No squinted eyes, no looks back,
No few remains of a great sandcastle,
No footprints left near the water.

 No drippy icepops,
 No odd chalk drawings,
 No summer-day-hopscotch.
 No board games,
 No laughter,
 No fun.

Only a slight smile as I lay down at last,
Where I can dream of you and your deep-sea eyes.
