Color My World
The silver sky cracks open and reveals my gray soul.
Today the world is dark and the stars don’t shine.
I make my way out of the dim white walls that suffocate me.
The blank paper mark with lines lies at my finger tips, it fades to black.
I take a step,fear with no sound.
Blinded by the world that surrounds me.
I don’t know what’s ahead and there’s no looking back.
Where is the trust, where is the safety?
My mind freezes over, my stomach screams.
Fingers extend to the sky and I’m waiting for the light to break through.
