Accidental
I am the yellowed ivory
 On the piano we played
When I couldn't reach the pedal
 I am those records
 You put on the shelf,
 The old guitar
 Collecting dust in the corner
 I am the '90s song
 You hear on the radio,
 The dashboard in your truck
 When we were keeping time
 I am the music
 Written on napkins and
 Scraps of paper
 Wedged in-between the pages
 Of some '70s piano book,
 the love songs you sang
 To my mother
 Way back when
 I'm the past, daddy.
 The one wrong note
 You can't fix.
