False happiness
How I hate it so
I hate pretending
To be cheerful
When I’m breaking
Breaking inside
It’s like going to a game
And hating the sport
Or standing in a rally
Fighting for something
You don’t believe in
Wouldn’t it be better
To stand and cry
Then to hide it away
Till you burst
Till you just can’t take it
I believe in the first
That’s why I stand
Wearing red
In a sea of blue
Getting my only joy
When seeing another face
Green in the sea
Glancing at me
As I glance at him and remember
Days of green
In a sea of blue
