This garden...
This garden…is alive.
 Sit on a rotting stone,
allow the vines and creepers to climb
up your body and into your life.
Ensnaring you in their leafy hold,
 recoiling only slightly
as they sense your freezing heart.
Taking great care not to upset
 the delicate balance of sunlight.
 Take root and breathe.
 Let the plants consume you,
 become you,
make you one with the earth.
 Green heat.
 Countless ashes rise
as you feel the soft gravel
 beneath mossy feet.
 Feel what they feel.
 Drink it all in
 like freshly fallen rain.
 Spread.
 Grow.
 Just remember one thing.
 This garden…is alive.
