the reminder

there’s an eerie absence of human contact in my realm
so tonight i’ll parallel park my spaceship on heaven’s highway
knock on God’s brass door and speak to him on
the matter of tie-dye
high-tide boys in skinny jeans and health care
after our chit-chat i’ll chat some more
ask for a tour of the gemmed-up place and i’ll ever-so-slightly
remind him that
"we’re still waiting for Your visit
down there on planet earth"
