Murmuring Waves

The waves dash lightly to the sandy shore
Bringing a soft murmur with each glide
A murmur that stays for a moment
Then is released into the broad ocean

A new wave moves towards the withered sand
Bringing an echoing murmur
But, the wave heads back to the ocean
As the murmur quiets down

With each murmur that a waves carries
A memory remains
Despite the wave gliding to a different time,
A new wave comes back, with a new memory

One must always listen for a new wave that glides
upon the shore with a leap, for the memory
does not leave, but will be there
