Pink and orange glow
Sticky sand and salty sky
Waves stretching for our feet
Breathing deep to swallow the shore
A constellation of surfboards, rising
And crashing with the ocean
The quiet scent of coconuts, palm trees
Resting lazily overhead
Pretending
We would never have to leave.

ok im sorry to hvae to say this, but i live in coronado and im just gonna be a nag like this... its not an island, its a peninsula, i have never seen a coconut asides from the grocery shore here, and the waves arent really that big. :/ sorry
