Wet Socks do not Make Children Happy
I wasn’t given a pass into
     Never Never land,
 I just found myself wondering through it.
 You know, you wouldn’t understand.
 Not enough magic left in your
     ward for silly little games and an imagination.
 And as I danced with the Bears 
     and had tea with the Mad Hatter, I 
     saw you by the edges of my Eden.
 Blocked by my wall.  You’d probably 
     circle until sundown if I would have let you.
 But please understand, Never Never land doesn’t exist
     outside my realm of reality.  Your sorrow would
     only drown my fantasy.  Besides I wouldn’t want
 
 you to get your socks wet…
