Melancholy laughter
To see a smile on you beautiful face
Is more than enough to make my heart jump
I'm glad I can make you smile
And I'm glad I can make you laugh
 I can't be sad when you're happy
You pull me up from any depression
And you don't even know it
But I hate that i'm your friend!
Because that's all we can be
I want to crash down this wall
I want to hold you and love you
Tell you how much you mean to me
I'm sorry some things were said
 I'm sorry I can't be perfect
I wish you knew how I felt
I wish you felt the same way
But all I can do is sit here
Alone in my room and write
About the sky, the seas, and the fields
Or maybe i'll write about something other than you
