You see trees
 changing into beautiful things
 full of bright colored leaves.
 I see nature dying
 like everything always does.
 You see people walking
 hand in hand, in love
 deeper than anyone could imagine.
 I see two people
 drawn together by something special
 but then stuck
because they didn't know anything else.
 You see passion
 and talent in the words
 on your computer screen
 written by me.
 I see worry and hope
 that maybe these words
will get me out of this struggle.
 You see friends
 in the hallways
 of dormitories
 laughing about nonsence
 I see strangers
 still being strangers
 full of unknown things
just waiting to be found out.
 You see a world
 fighting for peace
 fighting to make everything better.
 Believing that there is
 some good in everything.
 I see people dying
 communities falling apart
 and everything as unfixable
 there is good in nothing.
 You see the world
 through your eyes
 you see it
 as a positive thing.
 I see the world
 through my eyes
eyes that have see the worst of things
eyes that were once always full of tears
 eyes that have faces
 buried deep inside
of the people who betrayed me.
I see everything as a negative.
We may be in the same place
and looking out the same window
 but from where you're sitting
 everything is 100% different.
