I waved at her for the final time,
Knew we won't cross paths again.
Days come and go,
But not the feelings;
They stay with you till the very end.
Little did she know she was all I felt in that moment.
She smiled brightly excited for tomorrow,
While I sat there fearing what it would be without her,
Yet I smiled back and whispered,
Goodbye darlin'
See you in my dreams,
As I usually do.
You will still appear before my eyes.
Nothing would be new.
Or I just said so.
