Under lies

Just say when I’ll lower the casket

Hatch the egg of illusions crafted

I won’t bleed red, I’ll hold my breath

Until you tell me to exhale

This lumbering pain will paint greatness

But what if it doesn’t fade?

I won’t forget-won’t forgive-won’t fly

I will just be entangled in my own bed

My nest burrowed from the rest

Will burn like the library of Alexander

I’ll wish for an eternal slumber

To break free of the lingering blunder

For again and again and again

Whisper my utmost truest words

My heart’s gratitude goes out to you

But you’ll say it’s a lie

So give me my forever punishment

I won’t forget-won’t forgive-won’t fly

I’ll stay caged like the words unsaid

Wonder about my future mistakes

My feathers withered like the autumn tree

And I’ll watch myself die

Hands tied under the cruelty of consequences

Cold feet accept the ache

The itch never left, scorched and bled

I won’t escape.
