THE CRIMSON MOON
I had a dream where I saw a great, red moon.
The moon spoke to me, saying: "Do my work, and I shall grant you a boon."
I asked what the task and the reward would be.
The bright, red moon replied: "You must make everyone on earth worship me."
"But what is there left to rule?" I asked the moon.
"The land is limited, and every life must eventually reach its summit."
If I were given a single chance, I would choose salvation instead; that would be as good as any boon.
That choice would make me more profound than any king who seeks to rule.
It would turn me into a star, allowing me to shine throughout the sky, the galaxy, and the entire universe.
