The Endless Voyage
Her eyes are like the ocean
Vast and Endless,
Like the crashing blue waves
of a breathtaking sea.
She radiates,
like the warmth of a bright sun,
painting the skies dull canvas
with her grace.
Her voice calls to me
the way a sirens song sings
to the hearts of sailors
beckoning them to sink their ships.
Her laugh,
so full of life and beauty
pulls me in like a great tide.
Her icy gaze sinks me
in a trench of love
and as I drown,
Her smile keeps me warm.
Then sunny skies set,
and lifeless nights rise
leaving me in darkness.
My light is gone
I continue on
in this cold and lonely
in-between.
Without her here,
life is like a ship without its sails
condemned to live
but never move forward
rotting away like a sunken heart.
Then suddenly she appears again
a shining star in a starless sky
so close and yet always out of reach
an aurora of brilliance.
A beacon of hope for all who see her
lighting the path ahead,
leading me to her once more.
I chart a course for her
for as long as she lights the night sky
I will always try to reach her,
Forever lost at sea
A soul forever lost in love.

This piece is a representation of the love I feel in my heart towards someone special to me, Though I never had the courage to say these words to them face to face, I found the courage to write it.
