Turtle Tale
Rays of sun makes the sea glow
I watch the silver waves as it flow
The sea has thousands of lives under
Still, the thought of it makes me wonder
With thoughts racing, I sit in the evening breeze
As I feel the touch, I suddenly freeze
I notice the hard brown shell near my hand
It left tiny marks from crawling on the sand
It might have been under the sea in the dark
Staying quite away from the shark
It had any hope of seeing a sparkle of light?
Or it just had enough guts to fight?
Moving forward through the darkest of days
Grasping every opportunity to find new ways
It is always better to try
Than being filled with regret and cry
