My First and Last
I found my first and last love, something that is found once in a blue moon, that’s what makes it so special.
Looking into his reflective eyes calms me. Feeling as if we are in a field of poppies naming cumulonimbus clouds as a type of animal.
Leaving a mark of my lipstick on your nose, my favorite feature of yours.
At midnight, our first kiss will sparkle brighter than all the stars.
At our golden hour, we will watch the sunset, watching the sun’s light go slowly into the end of the earth.
And as we say our phrase, “forget-me-not,” and slowly close our eyes to go to the heavenly gates.
So this is true love?
After all these years searching in the tiniest of places.
I found someone who can comfort me in my storm, who can make me gleeful in our 2 person party. I hope he knows he is safe and loved by me.

This piece is about a love I have in my life and that I don't want to let go of. I met him this year and that changed my life completely.
