Harsh, violent, and loud;
Kind, gentle, and soft;
Sorrowful as if
In deepest mourning.
The violin sings.
Full of hope and warmth
For hard days ahead.
Unwavering, pure.
With perfect sound.
Playful and content.
Jumping and skipping
Through notes and measures
As young children do
Through woods and pastures.
