Pressure is an inevitable cycle.

Pressure is what makes us think

We have to be someone we’re not.

Pressure has been embedded into us,

Like knives cutting into butter.

As soft as the butter we are.

Easily manipulated by pressure.

Pressure will conform us.

I wrote this piece in my creative writing class, and ever since it has stuck with me. I feel as though this is my best work because so many people identify with this.
