“Peace”

When life goes by without a sigh

Crisp breezes make trees dance in the spring

Where is it now while bombs boom and below behind the battlefield?

Where is mouthwatering fresh bread and cake while all there is to taste is sweat and blood?

Where are the soft soothing clouds melting on touch while hate triumphs?

Where is the dove calling upon all to help one another?

Where is the sparrow singing the morning blues?

When will the seconds go as fast as bullets again?

When will I become blind to the luxuries of life again?

When will I set foot on the luscious green grass carpet fields of the sanctuary called home?

When will the shells stop firing?

Will the people ever stop fighting?

When will our enemy not be each other but war itself?

Why am I the only one thinking this?

Why am I, not the only one thinking this?

Why are we all those stubborn mules shying away from agreement?

When will this change?

How will we reach you?
