Mystical patterns of blues and greens, dotting the silken landscape below
Ferocious roars of wind, sustain not only the aggressive waves
But the pounding of my heart, validating my possible misdeed
Around me, not a suggestion of any past or current ecology
Just a dry breeze, salty, and dust filled, rolling across vast and endless lands
Showing the last hints of integrity
Beneath, sprawl immense sheets of gleaming water strategizing every possible catastrophe
Sea and land, battle, motivating me, pulling every which way as each one dares me to defy the other
With one last look, I plunge towards the seeming sanctuary below, making a deadly alliance
Nourishing flows of water engulf me, pacifying the raging current within
Unintelligible thoughts and voices surround, so many it could be made into an anthology
The last traces air whoosh out, leaving me trashing, flailing for one last breath
I feel my limbs turn into jelly and lungs fill with water
As I slowly welcome the inevitable advent of crystal-clear darkness
