Skyline
Skyline
I board an airplane to rise above all,
Risen above the skyline, on top of the known world.
The skyscrapers below, the tall seen as small.
The engines roaring through the wind,
Strong to hear while traveling at incredible speeds.
Yet the chatter of passengers stays in my ears, dialogue pinned.
Babies and kids crying as loud as a police siren
While others discussing their daily lives,
Noise restraints as the sun sets below the horizon.
Day turns to night, but the lights remain.
A skyline blessed with skylights,
A starstruck sight engraved in my brain.
The night lights are easy on my eyes,
The night lights make a place of calm,
The night lights are beautiful, I hope the sun will never rise.
