My Confession to Make
I lie because I want
I eat because I crave
I see because I need
I steal because I am thief.
Want is for the better good of all
Crave is not hunger but rather desire
Need is of perspective which I lack
Thief because it’s all that defines me
All man are thief and ‘tis the fate that
Covet destroys you, thy neighbor and nature.

A regular rhythm and no rhyme scheme to match the unpredictable pattern and discomfort in the atmosphere. The enjambement creates a story like tone and suits the idea of confessing your sins. The archaic Lang in the last stanza links back to the biblical idea of the 10 commandments and how the idea of inherent evil can be traced back then.yet the twist of modern you instead of thou disorientates the readers, creating a direct speech like feeling that warns one of jealousy and dishonesty. Just some thoughts after today and you will enjoy this poem :)
