Are mined from the rough cliffs

And caverns, reshaping

The landscape of the realm that

Is quiet as a mouse.

Filled with strong-smelling toxic

Fungus, impede most

Exploration and movement

Where the deep gnomes live

In their caves, listening for

Monsters as they live

In their small communities

Scattered among the rocks

The svirfneblin mine

And the duergar build cities

While the mind flayers

Feed on the brains of victims

Beholders keep hoards

Of treasure and artifacts

Punishing fools who

Try to steal their possessions

As if they own the land

A realm of chaos and

Danger, of darkness and fear

Are found, in the Underdark
