Society & Restrictions
Society & Restrictions
Inside wishing to wear things I totally cant
Feeling the pressure everywhere
To be everything someone wants me to be
Trying my best to “fit in” with everyone
Inside knowing I don’t need to “fit in”
Being born to be myself
And not copy others as themselves
Staying strong cause I know I was born
To stand out.
Inside knowing I want to do things
Instead, I do something different
Keeping watch on things I really shouldn't
Staying with everyone else and being up to date
Inside want everything I can't have
Wanting to be who I am but being
Held back by everyone
Especially my family
Inside seeing everyone laughing
And enjoying their day
As I walk through the halls
The pungent smell of girls perfume
Popularity
It’s just a word
The only one that
Cares about it are you

I wrote this because i feel like i have been through some specific things before and sometimes I have like a story to tell so I write down in poems.
