Artists’ Folding Way
All bunched up in the basket
Soft, rough, heavy, light
Poured out on the floor awaiting arrangement
A heavy sigh of the folder: Loud and blunt
Repetition is grueling and dull
But they know it needs to be done
Without cleanliness and tidiness, nothing will pay off
Clothes will stink and the mood will negatively shift
To avoid, they cave
The only excitement are the new articles
Few and far between that one spends their limited wealth on
It requires preparation, time, and practice it takes to fold, to afford
The process is most grueling
Many do it but only few understand the intricacy
And the art that is putting oneself out there
I have to push through
It must be done
It will pay off
