The Dark Room

The room was cold and dark
The light was large and bright
People come here in the night
Looking for a fright
The sound of screams filled the room
A woman sent to her tomb
But not the screams of the people there
Screams on screen
Killing time on halloween
The scent of popcorn filled the air
People of all ages get a good scare
The movie ended
People left
The room was empty once again

I wrote this piece around Halloween. My favorite thing to do is to go see a movie at a theater, and I especially love horror films which is what inspired me to write this.
