Better in Memory
It was so easy being a kid,
The development of friendships were effortless,
We were affable and kindhearted,
Dreaming about our next school day,
Wearing whatever we wanted,
Insecurities were nonexistent,
Sharing our toys was our biggest conflict.
Playing outside was the high point of our day,
Getting dirty was exciting and expected.
But it’s complicated now,
Everyone is rejective and conceited,
We are anxious and insulted,
Everything has changed.
