Respite
I sit back in my rocking chair
The sunlight cast upon my land
The grass, full of weeds and daisies,
Stands in front of my eyes
The day remains ever young
I think about enjoying my lemonade
It tastes like summer distilled into a glass
and beckons me to sit back in my rocking chair
It simply has a grip on my mind
And I just can’t seem to be bothered
Tomorrow's problems are for tomorrow
But that's what I said yesterday
The thought grazes past me
Well I’m sure it’ll be different
I sit back on my rocking chair
And slowly sip on my lemonade
