Hug All Your Friends
Are you okay?
What’s wrong?
You look sad.
These are all things we hear every day,
But nothing ever changes.
Some never hear this at all,
And sometimes it’s all they need.
The world is full of sadness, and regret
But it’s not over yet.
We as a community need to stick together,
Because you never know whose life you could save one day.
We as a community need to help others,
Because you never know what someone else is going through.
Check-in on your friends,
Check-in on a stranger,
Check-in on your family.
Reach out if you need someone,
Because there will be someone there for you.
Being in college is hard,
And the motivation is lost.
We feel homesick, and drained,
And some even feel out of place.
Sometimes all someone needs is a helping hand,
Someone to get them back on their feet,
Someone to get them through the rough patch,
And help them realize they will once again stand.
You are loved,
And you are not alone.
And as CaveTown once said,
Hug all your friends!
