Deceitful Flashes
A tale of lovers seemed
flawless between flashes,
but not all angles.
Posing on the blood carpet
reminded them of recurring puncture wounds,
as they became one warped
In the intoxicating light.
With stars above them,
they had achieved privacy.
The cleansing midnight air
filled the leather seats, and
what had seemed like a flash
turned into hours.
Hours of being true,
being what they couldn't be in the glimpses of flashes,
being what only solitude could be.
Warped in the sheets they
release the residue
and lay to rest in the angles
