Courage
Easy,
Not everything is that.
Once in a while, something stands in your way
Getting over that barrier is the only way
Face to face you stand with hardship,
You got to overcome that.
Overcoming that is what makes you courageous which is advantageous,
This advantage is important,
Especially if you want to achieve greatness.

Currently, in America, there has been an epidemic caused by the horrible effects of social media on mental health. Many individuals, especially teenagers, have fallen depressed and overwhelmed because of their excessive use of social media apps such as Instagram, Snapchat, and Facebook.
Every day, people scroll through social media and see the lives of what look to be “perfect” people. This can make the viewer feel inadequate and develop low self-esteem because they feel like their lives are worse than others. On top of this, the constant buzz of notifications can cause anxiety and fear of missing out. This constant need to be available for notifications can lead individuals to become addicted to the digital world, even when physically present.
These factors contribute to the growing problem of depression and anxiety in the United States. As a way of making others feel better about themselves, this chapbook contains thirty poems each about a different positive attribute. Even if 1% of people that read it feel more impactful and important than before then this piece of writing is a success.
This piece uses multiple styles of poems and also switches between stories about people, situations, and abstract ideas. Just whatever comes to mind when I first see the word. Before writing, each of the words were purposefully chosen in order to fulfill the criteria best. I hope you enjoy.
