I Want to be a Sunflower

I do not want to live,
Like a wilted wallflower,
Growing amongst,
The vines that inch,
Crookedly up a fence,
…I want to be a sunflower,
Standing tall and proud,
Blooming amongst,
My brothers and sisters,
I want to be enriched,
By doing the things I love,
–Like rich, nutritious soil,
It will anchor my roots.
