The Golden Coast
Born on the Golden Coast
Far away, in the South East sea
Born to a mother and father
And a brother with a disability
Twas my home a short while
But alas, it would not be
As the issues started to pile
It called for the end of their convergency
He went by many names -
A liar, a cheat, a fraud, a con
Those titles were his evils proclaimed,
lost in the sea of silence, his voice refrained
Nestled in my mother’s breast
we moved from sea to shining sea
away from that decrepit man,
and due to my brother’s disability
