A Normal Day

It seemed to be a normal day
The sun was out
Wind blowing
I heard the dog barking
My mom in the kitchen making breakfast
I started the day
got ready
Rushed out the door
Later than planned
I felt the breeze through my hair
Hopped in the car
Seat was ice cold
Left my house
Took the same route I take everyday
On that drive
I heard something screaming at me
That's when I woke up
And began to start my day
