Bright Red Door
This bright red door
With golden attributes
Behind it,
Thirteen years of friendship sits waiting.
With the creak of the door
We were greeted with new faces
And right then I knew
I had a friend
To grow up with me.
When everything seemed huge
I had someone who felt the same
Jersey
My best friend for thirteen years
As I continue to grow
Shes going down
But the thirteen years we've shared
Will be the best years of my life
I now know
My best friend was on the other side of
That bright red door

This about my 13 year old dog who is my best friend. She was recently diagnosed with severe cardiac failure. We don't know how much time we have left with her but this poem is for her.
